Kitchens are losing the gray color, which I am happy about it. I loved the gray, but I am so over it. The new color in kitchen will be GREEN! not just a dark leafy green, but a swanky color green like a golden apple. Green is mix of blue and yellow, which warms up any space.

Identical furniture and matchy match sets don't showcase personality. Matching sets will soon be seen as a flaw in design."

With Covid-19 taking the joy out of this holiday season, We figured if you can't change the prevention protocol on surviving this virus, why not change how we get together?
I know everyone NO MORE ZOOM!, but unfortunately we have limited access to family, friends, co-workers and etc. This is the part were we think inside the box, because we can't mingle with each other any way. We are not going to cancel our party, event, social get-together we are just going to change how we do it!
Step one: Figure out how to get everyone involved and interested. The hard part is making sure everyone is on board! Let's not focus on what we did last year, but concentrate on how we can get everyone together, but separately.
Step two: What are we going to do? Well we know we are virtual but should we have a theme?, should people dress up (we wear sweats everyday, maybe a dress or nice slacks would feel good and different. Should we decorate our spaces?
Step three: Supplying everyone with the items we need to ensure our event is successful. Do we send everyone supplies? Do we delivered meal items? Are families included, Do we have contest, games, speeches?
Step four: How do we make the team feel like they matter? Do we send gifts/ tokens in advance? Do we give monetary gifts? How do we show our appreciation.
Step five: What do we serve for food? Does the company provide the refreshments, Is there music? Do we communicate with each other? All of these and more are steps to having a successful event. We are in a space where nothing is like it was and we have to adjust, but it doesn't mean we can't find ways to be entertained!
The future in event planning is heading into a direction that is focusing in on personalized customization. Personalizing an experience is more than just initials on a cake. It means incorporating the essence of your client. Bringing out who they are and how they see their event. It is creating a space that your client could identify with a glance.
Before the event hold mulitple sessions with your client ask repeatly what they want and how they envision their dream event. Take the time to get to know the client and focus on what they are saying. Provide them with ideas and offer suggestions, come up with a few ideas that will allow the client to see what you interpret from your discussions. The idea is to make the client feel, touch, see and appreciate that you are making their event a priority and you hear them. You are personalizing their event and providing them with customization from begining to end.
Kitchen cabinets are no longer just storage . Cabinets have become the focal point to a kitchen. There has become a evolution of streamlined creating a new look that focuses on simplicity and minimalism. We have our trendy clients who likes the current trends of customized looks with bold colors.
Open shelves are not for everyone. It is hard to image having open shelving when your dishes are not up to par. This is just half the battle...You have to be selective on what is displayed for every utensil, bowl or glass has an impact on the overall aesthetic of your kitchen. Find new similar-colored utensils that create a uniform look. You can use wine bottles, mason jars, and fruit bowls as decorative elements. If you have coffee mugs or special recipe books, use them to make the shelving more interesting, but as you mix and match all these elements, think about the current trends and how it may work today but not long term.
Homeowners no longer want standard, boring, off the assembly line kitchen designs. They want something new original, unique that creates personality and character. Something within the current trends, providing a statement. Color is one of the most effective ways to grant this opportunity. Neutrals are what's up in a big way. Beige, grey, yellow, soft greens are making their ways into the kitchen. Homeowners are customizing their colors to their kitchens no more "just go along with everyone" the latest news is Let's my kitchen represent me!

I have the latest news that will can give your home an upgrade without costing a bunch!
Want a room quick picker-upper! paint the room! This is the most inexpensive way to get a bang for your buck! A new coat of paint brightens, extends and dresses up the room without doing anything else. If the room is small paint it a soft light color to maximize the space.
Small space? no need to knock down the wall, especially if the place is not yours. Try adding mirrors. Mirrors have the ability to create the illusion of additional space. Look at the picture above and see how the two large mirrors the room look larger. A small room with strategically placed mirrors makes the space increase in size and look new.
Mirrors
Decorative mirrors make excellent art pieces for empty walls. By placing mirrors of different sizes and shapes in a pattern you can produce new art worthy of a piece of purchased wall decor.
A nice way of giving a room a subtle boast is to mix textures and patterns. I like to mix plush with rough textures. Add a throw of plush velvet to a wooden rocking chair, throw a new satin pillow on the seat and you are set.
The most important thing to remember when decorating and creating is to be you! What the current trends are may work on TV or in someone else home may not be who you are. Your space should reflect your taste, personality and style. My motto is,"My home my rules and my style".
